What I have been reading lately:
– Sechseläuten, Michael Theurillat, 2009, Ullstein Buchverlag GmbH, Berlin. Crime, that takes place in Zürich.
– Der Teufel von Mailand, Martin Suter, 2006, Diogenes Verlag AG, Zürich. Novel, that takes place in the Swiss mountains.
– Der norwetische Gast, Anne Holt, 2008, Piper Verlag GmbH, München. Crime that takes place in the Norwegian mountains. Unfortunately I read it in German and not in Norwegian.
Why I write in English now? Well now that so many people are reading this many begged that I would write in a language so that at least have of the population of this planet understand it. But I had a better idea. I’ll change the language every year. So next year I’ll be writing in Arabic, French or Tonga. Looking forward to it.

Hi there. Being sick on Christmas is not the best thing, or maybe it is. However if you’re power leaves you, and you’re not able to open your gifts then things get bad. Luckily I got a light present and I gave a heavy one. So unwrapping this picture (original) of a 2cv was easy and I just managed. It’s a screen printing from Anna Flores… I love it.
I am not a big coffee drinker. But you could say that I am a theaholic. I like a coffee from our new brilliant coffee machine or from the Phoenix coffee shop in Ørsta. But let’s talk about coffee another time. Now it’s teatime! I drink tea all the time.
Some weeks ago I ordered a tea in a restaurant. And the little label on the teabag said: L’art de thé. I was curious where this tea was from and googled the name. And I found a teashop in Luzern. The homepage of this teashop is very nice and I decided to visit the shop as soon as possible. Last Wednesday I grabbed some papers I had to read and took the train to Luzern.
L’art du thé is the most wonderful teashop I have ever seen. It is quiet large and you can buy everything you wish for. The lady in the shop took her time to show me around. I bought my only christmas present for this year and got a tea while waiting for her to wrap the gift. I wish I could go there every day.
Today I made some christmas cookies. Each year it’s the same thing. You start, eat a lot of dow, realize that it’s a lot of work, want’s to stop but you can’t because it’s too late, you get sick. But then it starts to smell really good and you’re happy to have done all the work.

Seit ca. 4 Wochen besitzte ich eine Ente. Wirklich. Am Anfang hatte ich etwas Schwierigkeiten mit Anlassen. Im Schnee fahren ist etwas gefährlich, wegen den dünnen Veloreifen. Die Schaltung ist ziemlich gewöhnungsbedürftig. Heizung? Ja nach etwa 10km. Deshalb fahre ich meistens mit Wolldecke, Handschuhen und Mütze. Cabriolet? Ja, werde ich dann im Sommer ausprobieren. Jetzt schneit es dafür manchmal im Innern. Farbe: anthrazit. Jahrgang 1982, so alt wie ich. Was wollt ihr sonst noch wissen?

Letzten Sommer war ich in Skandinavien und in den Schweizer Alpen unterwegs und habe Pflanzen am Strassenrand gesucht und notiert wo sie vorkommen. Es handelte sich um Pflanzen die am Wegrand wachsen, in der Umgangsprache „Unkräuter“. Als ich im Sommer ein paar Tage in Mosjøen verbrachte, einem der schönsten Orten in Norwegen, fand ich in einem Buchladen dieses Buch: „Blomstene i Grøftkanten“ (Blume am Wegrand) von Marlen Foseid und Unni Brakestad. Mit kurzen Texten und schönen Zeichnungen werden die Pflanzen an Wegrändern beschrieben. Ich blätterte in diesem Buch und fand alle Pflanzen wieder, die ich seit Wochen entlang von Wegrändern suchte und musste das Buch sofort haben. Vielen Dank für dieses schöne Buch, Marlen und Unni! Leider gibt es das Buch nur auf Norwegisch. Wer weiss, vielleicht werde ich bald so ein Büchlein „Flora ruderale helvetica“ machen. Ich brauche nur noch jemanden, der gut zeichnet.

Pret a portobello ist mein lieblings Online-Kleiderladen. 7 Tage die Woche und bei jedem Wetter kann man dort von verschiedenen neuen Designer Kleider und Accessories einkaufen.
Ich finde immer wieder Dinge die ich haben muss, sollte, gerne hätte und möchte.
Vor ein paar Wochen habe ich meine Pflanzen im Gewächshaus vorgestellt. Seither sind sie ein wenig gewachsen und ich hoffe sie blühen bald und machen Samen. Das ist das Ziel.
