Winter can come
I do like all seasons and going from summer directly to winter would be too quick. Autumn is great. I like the colouring of the leaves, drinking warm tea inside and staring knitting again. But this year, winter cannot come fast enough for me. The reason is that I have a pair of brand new ski’s and I can’t wait to test them.
Last season I was introduced to off piste skiing (outside the slope) in deep and fresh snow. This was lot’s of fun, because we there was plenty of snow in western Norway. I know, I have been complaining about the snow in the mountains all summer, but now I wish for a lot of snow again, and very very soon!

Travel diary
When we traveled to Pacific Northwest some years ago, I kept a travel diary. I did not write everyday, but I took the time to write a couple of pages every now and then. I wrote and made drawings (e.g. our travel route), lists and put pictures in the diary. I love to take the diary out of the shelf and browse through it from time to time.
Conference in Turkey
I am in Kusadasi in Turkey attending a conference on phenology. It’s the strangest conference that I have attended, because we are in a holiday resort and it does not feel like working. The temperature is very nice and I go swimming whenever I can squeeze it in between the talks. I had my talk on the first day and have talked to many people doing interesting things.
