We are back in Switzerland. After the warm and sunny days (I could get used to this), the weather is a bit different here. I think we missed the big snow (10cm), but we got a little bit last night. I love winter.
Handmade knife
„Life with metal and fire“ is the moto of the blacksmith Lampert-Guarda. They are situated in the Eastern Swiss Alps, in a small village in the Engadin.
One of their products are beautiful handmade knifes. I recently bought a ham knife, with a 12cm blade and a wooden handle.
The knife was delivered in a black box on a alpine meadow bed :-)
A month in Switzerland
A tiny guest
Morning run
I love to live in the city centre, to have everything close by, get a coffee, walk to the shop and go for a stroll in the centre. It’s convenient to have everything very close. And in Bergen you can have the city and right by your house.
But I also like to live in the countryside. Not having any neighbours, hearing the birds sing and seeing animals from the window. The Tiny House in Buechberg is such a place and I love spending time here. It is great to wake up and be able to walk out of the door and start jogging. This morning was lovely even with some sun.

A green toilet
A while ago one of my best friends decided to move into a palace. It’s a beautiful old stone brick house in the middle of the city. Last time I saw it, it was still empty, because she had just moved in. But not this time!
She has a room only for her plants. The walls of the dining room are painted cornflower blue. And she has a sofa from Ikea’s grandmother collection. But the toilet was the most awesome I have ever seen.
Eigental
Is there still untouched nature? Close to where you live?
The closest place I can think of is the Eigental. A couple of years ago the municipalities and conservationists argued about a road going trough a nature reserve. The road needed mending and the conservationists demanded tunnels below the road for the amphibians. But nobody wanted to pay and nothing happened. Ever since the road has been closed and no one is allowed to drive there.
Today, I wanted to check out this „untouched“ nature and walked through the snow. I met pretty sights, but not as untouched as I hoped.
