My new work space
This will be my new work space for the next two weeks. It’s the cosy kitchen at my aunts place in Håvoll. Thanks to technology I’m still connected to the world.
Summer
We’ve had a wonderful week at Håvoll. 20 – 23°C and full sunshine. Time for a boat ride, mushroom trip, painting the house and a trip to the islands.
Nypa
Finally I made it to the Nypa (924 m) on Sunday. A very scary path leads up to the top and I wanted to turn around several times. But it was worth the effort and fear.
Fiske
Fishing is a must in Norway. So far we have fished a lot:
a small lobster
lots of cob fish
flatfish
jellyfish (bäh)
starfish (we put it back into the ocean)
Nypa – almost…
After 30 years I finally (almost) reached the top of the Nypa. But before we reached the top fog and rain blocked the way. The cloudberry were not ripe yet, so we have to go up there again anyway…
Field work in Tromsø
I am back in Tromsø looking after the plants. I was surprised how much weed has grown. But also the plants have grown, the snow on the mountains has melted and the gras hat grown (compare to Tromsø in June). The weather has been great. Today I even wore a t-shirt.
I have finally learnt to sleep in bright sunlight. Maybe because I am still very tired. But the plants do not sleep at all. The photosynthesize 24 hours!
Håvoll
I am back in Håvoll for one day recovering from the excursion. Tomorrow I will go to Tromsø for some more field work.
