Yesterday in the Tages Anzeiger from Thomas Widmer:
The process of a paper might be very long. 3 years ago I started my master thesis and now finally submitted the paper about it in Mycologia.
The Kanton of Glarus is steep and full of water. This is one waterfall, the „Berglistüber“ at the Klausenpass. A visit worth.
I like boxes and I also like to sew. When I saw this gorgeous thing in a shop in Zürich I had to buy it. I don’t know who made it but I got it here.
Instruction for a kleenex whale:
1. Buy a kleenex box (white or coloured)
2. Paint the box with colours (grey or blue) or glue coloured paper around it
3. Draw a mouth and an eye on each side of the box
4. Add a tail fin
and finish!
The idea is from here.
Yesterday I found the perfect piece of forest. It is somewhere in in the French part of Switzerland close to Payern. The area is a reserve for fungi and includes a natural trail with information about champion, chantarelle and all the others. We saw a lot of fungi. Unfortunately we don’t know many of them but we recoginzed boletus (Boletus edulis) and fly agaric (Amanita muscaria var. muscaria).
Anyway we entered a small forst trail, it went darker and we came to a little bridge. Suddenly I felt this is the perfect forest. I looked aroud expecting Ronja the Robber’s Daugther, Tom Bombadil or Hansel and Gretel to appear at anytime.

We spent the last beautiful day in autumn (it’s worth to see the german movie with this title if you haven’t) in Fribourg. There is a hotel called auberge aux 4 vents. It is difficult to get a room there but this time we were lucky. The room was decorated in orange.
Pictures see here…
The good thing about my project is that at the moment I get a lot of parcels; almost every day. Earlier this year I asked several researchers in Europe to help me collect seeds. It’s a bit cheeper and greener than travelling around and do it myself. And now all the seeds arrive in different shapes. Yesterday I got a book about the botanic garden in Oslo. Today I got a green parcel with seeds from Plantago major and a lovely letter from Jokkmokk. And I am still waiting for a parcel form Island!
This week will still be warm but soon it’s time for a tea. My favourite teas at the moment.
Thé des sables (Palais du thé)
Timo arancia (Al canton)
Different teas from Tea forté (becuase of the leave)

In a shop in Zürich i found these bags from Zirkeltraining made of old sports equipement. I like recycled things, meaning things made of things that have been something else before. Anyway I fell in love with this big purse.
